Want to do something more with an hour this week? Use it to change the world!
Imagine spending an hour a week doing simple but fun activities with a local child - throw the ball around, create an art project, help with homework, or read a book all the way through. Now, imagine that child stays in school, has more self-confidence, and stays away from risky behaviors.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking volunteer mentors (16 and over) that can commit at least 12 months to developing a one-on-one friendship with a child aged 5 - 15. Volunteers receive training and full support while mentoring. Experience with children isn't required to be a great mentor just a desire to be a good role model! Have fun, learn new skills, or put current skills to use, and change the world one hour at a time.
Get started today! Contact Josh by email joshh@bbbstampabay.org or call at 813-769-3614 with questions or to apply.
