About Saban Community Clinic

Location:

8405 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048, US

Mission Statement

Saban Community Clinic, in collaboration with strategic partners, serves as a medical home for the underserved and those who are most vulnerable by providing comprehensive, dependable and affordable quality health care in a caring environment.

Description

Saban Community Clinic’s legacy is rooted in the late 1960s guided by a fundamental belief - health care is a right, not a privilege.

In 1967, The Los Angeles Free Clinic opened its doors to provide medical, behavioral health and social services to low-income and uninsured individuals at no cost. The staff was made up entirely of volunteers and operated on donations.

In 2008, The Los Angeles Free Clinic was renamed to The Saban Free Clinic in honor of a $10 million endowment from philanthropists Cheryl and Haim Saban.

In 2012, The Saban Free Clinic was designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) to deliver on the promise of the Affordable Care Act and become the community’s medical home for quality and affordable health care.

In 2013, The Saban Free Clinic was renamed to Saban Community Clinic to reflect its new federal status as an FQHC and welcome a new era in health care.

Today, Saban Community Clinic has four health centers in West Los Angeles and Hollywood and provides more than 90,000 patient visits to nearly 22,000 men, women and children each year.

Always growing, evolving and adapting - Saban Community Clinic remains grounded on the belief that health care is a right, not a privilege. We will always keep our doors open to everyone who needs medical, dental or mental health care, regardless of their ability to pay or their insurance status.
