Are you organized and good with numbers? Do you have Spanish skills you want to put to use? If so, the Arlington Education and Employment Program (REEP) is seeking a volunteer cashier for our Saturday morning caf? at the Syphax Education Center, 2110 Washington Blvd. Arlington, VA. On Saturdays from 10:15am-11:30am, we sell non-perishable food items and coffee to our adult English to Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) students. These students are all Spanish-speakers and custodians or building maintenance workers. Our caf? allows them to buy snacks at cheap prices while earning a profit to buy instructional resources for teachers. In addition to selling snack items and coffee, this volunteer is responsible for set-up, take-down, and inventory. This is all done within the aforementioned timeframe. No previous experience needed. Spanish skills are not a requirement. This is a 3 month commitment.
