Join us on December 6th from 9:30am-11:30am for a tree planting!
Ten volunteers are needed to plant over 100 trees along the Walnut Creek Greenway Trail. Gloves and all tools/supplies needed to complete tree planting project will be provided by Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources staff.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing suitable for cold weather and closed toed shoes. You must be at least 12 years old to volunteer. All volunteers under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers will be required to sign a release form in order to participate in volunteer project.
Parking for this event will be at the Ralph Campbell Community Center, located at 756 Lunar Drive. Our staff will meet you at 9:30am and walk to the tree planting location along the Walnut Creek Greenway Trail.
Per department policies, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed community service hours.
