Valley Verde is a non-profit organization committed to making fresh, healthy, local food available to low-income families in South San Jose. We provide all the materials to grow vegetables at home as well as a year of gardening and nutrition classes to low-income families, all free of charge. A few of our participants speak some English, but are more comfortable with Vietnamese. As a translator you would work with these participants during the monthly class to make sure everything is understood. In return, you get to learn all about gardening and healthy eating! Classes are the first Thursday of every month from 6:00 to 7:30.
