Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake seeks a Special Event Intern for Spring Semester 2015.
The Special Event intern will work closely with the Resource Development department in all aspects of fundraising and marketing activities as it relates to our annual auction and seated dinner including; social media and electronic media, public relations, database management, and special event logistics. This position will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist with plans and logistics for annual fundraising gala
- Procure in-kind donations from local and national businesses for the silent and live auctions
- Assist with item management and donor acknowledgment
- Assist in advertising and promoting the gala through traditional and social media
It is REQUIRED that the internship continue to volunteer with Gala planning and execution until event date of Saturday, May 9th.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake’s Senior Development Manager will oversee the internship, providing hands-on training and guidance. This internship will provide those interested in a career in the not-for-profit sector or public administration an in-depth look at the administrative tasks required. In addition, your efforts will directly benefit the hundreds of kids served in our Clubs each day. Administrative efforts can make a difference in the life of a child...you can be that difference.
Hours are flexible and would include up to 15 hours per week during regular business hours. A monetary stipend is available for this internship and college credit may be available.
