ON-SITE SUPERVISOR: Fund Development staff
REPORTS TO: Jamin Sartor, Development & Marketing Officer
GENERAL SUMMARY: Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is currently recruiting for an important volunteer role in our Fund Development Department. This is a great opportunity for the right person to contribute to overall operations of Habitat GSF's fundraising efforts. OUR MISSION: At Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco our mission is to provide local families with a springboard to secure, stable futures through affordable homeownership, financial literacy and neighborhood revitalization.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a volunteer, you will assist the Development & Marketing Officer in stewarding donors (<$1,000). This may include making thank you phone calls, writing and sending thank you notes, and addressing welcome post card to new donors. Please note that we will not ask you to fundraise - just say 'thank you'! Some online research and data research may be requested. To add variety to your volunteer experience, there may be times where we request your help on data entry/data clean-up projects, mailing projects (stuffing and postings), and other research projects.
SCHEDULE/TIME COMMITMENT: This position will be hosted in our San Francisco headquarters in the financial district. The ideal candidate can offer at least 1 day per week for 2-4 hours per day. Please note that we are flexible with our volunteer's schedules during the work-week and our office is open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm.
TRAINING PROVIDED: HFHGSF will set up a meeting with appropriate staff to orient volunteer to task. Additional training will be provided as needed.

EXPERIENCE:
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly via phone.
- Legible hand-writing would be preferred.
- Some computer experience, including excel, data entry and word processing is helpful.
