VITA is a program that involves volunteers from many walks of life to help taxpayers who cannot afford professional tax assistance. For over 10 years, Community Child Care Council (4C’s) of Alameda County VITA program has helped low-income families and those with special needs. VITA volunteers prepare income tax returns; provide information and referrals to programs and services available to help families thrive.
We need Tax Preparers, Greeters, and Translators (we are looking for volunteers who are fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, Punjabi, Farsi and American Sign Language). We need 3-5 hours per week during the tax season 1/29/15 - 4/9/15.
