ORGANIZATION: Discover Historic Mansfield, Inc.

Farr Best Theater
"The Farr" was renovated in August 2014 with a new paint job indoors and out. The exterior color, blue, yellow and red lights, the sign above the marquee and wall sconces are all new.

We are looking for greeters, ticket takers, concessions, and a few other front of house duties for all of our concerts, productions and events. As a volunteer, you will receive one complimentary ticket for the event that you work, based on availability. This fun, creative environment is a perfect way to get involved with our music-loving patrons and community members.

To volunteer, we expect that you be dressed in black slacks or skirt (professional fit/length, please), white shirt and closed-toed black shoes. We expect the most professional and friendly demeanor of all of our volunteers and help make our patrons feel welcomed and at home.

As the thriving heart of a dynamic city, Historic Mansfield will be the natural gathering spot for everyday life, festivals, and celebrations.

Goals
To accomplish the Vision for Historic Mansfield, the following goals have been adopted:

  1. Revitalize neighborhoods in Historic Mansfield
  2. Preserve Historic Mansfield's authentic, unique built environment
  3. Make Historic Mansfield a gathering spot
  4. Create a thriving business environment

Events
Several major events are held in the Historic Mansfield area each year. These include Hot Beats & Cold Brews concerts, the Hometown Holidays Parade and others. Everyone is invited to attend these events and discover the unique art, architecture, and culture of Historic Mansfield.
