Depending on skills and interests, volunteers will also have the opportunity to help develop lessons and gain experiences working in schoolyard gardens.
Responsibilities include: assisting with nutrition education programming;, collaborate with nutrition educators to implement lessons; assist in instructing classes centered on nutrition, cooking, and gardening; lead groups of students in cooking healthy recipes, taste testing, and other related games and activities; assist in facilitating physical fitness activities; and assist in gardens and farmers markets (late spring-summer).
