Sojourn Hospice & Palliative Care ~ Sacramento LLC

Hospice volunteers gain personal satisfaction and growth while making a difference in the lives of patients and their families. Hospice volunteers have the opportunity to make a connection with a patient while making social visits, engaging in art and recreational activities, reading or listening to patients reminisce about the past. Volunteers are essential to the hospice team and provide a valuable service to patients, families and communities. Hospice volunteers create support for patients and families by be available to support them through the use of social visits.


Friendly visitors must be at least 18 years of age and receive a flexible online training on working with hospice patients. Additionally, a friendly visitor must be able to commit to 1 hour per week, however, scheduling is flexible. All applicants must submit to a background check.
