Start the new year helping others! The Food Pantry Program at Wesley Housing’s Whitefield Commons Community Resource Center in Arlington, VA offers food for families facing hunger by providing staples such as bread, eggs, milk, a protein, fresh fruit and vegetables, thus providing families a steady source of healthy foods is critical to achieving family stability. Participants in the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) Program experience reduced household food insecurity, increased access and consumption of nutritious foods, reduced household food budgets, and an increased knowledge of health education. Helpers are needed to do the following: Assist with sorting of perishable and non-perishable food items Assist with storage, coordination, and distribution of food delivery Work with center staff to monitor flow of service Ability to lift boxes and crates of food up to 20lbs.

We need dedicated volunteers with a heart to be involved with hunger relief in their community. Every Wednesday, 9:45am-1:00pm. Minimum time commitment of one Wednesday per month.
