Volunteers Needed to Help Yonkers School Children

The new school year has begun, and many elementary school children in Yonkers need help from adults who can devote a minimum of one hour during the school week to get involved in tutoring, reading, homework help, language skills, and mentoring. All programs are geared toward enhancing the students’ education and improving their performance with consistent encouragement and one-on-one attention in a structured, nurturing atmosphere. Volunteers are needed immediately for service throughout the school week in Yonkers Public Schools and at The Riverfront Library in Yonkers. Please help a child succeed. ONE HOUR, ONCE A WEEK, ONE CHILD AT A TIME
