Mission Statement
"The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church.
Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination."
Description
Every day, The Salvation Army offers a hand up to people of all ages, races, religions and cultural backgrounds. In our Social Services office we assist families, children, men, women, and the elderly.
We offer a six month residential Adult Rehabilitation Program (ARP) for men. This low cost program is funded by local Salvation Army Thrift Stores and donors in our area.
During the holidays, we team up with the Marines Toys for Tots Program to provide toys for children who might not otherwise have anything.
We partner with local businesses to serve Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.
We also reach out to Senior citizens in our community during the holidays to provide gifts to those who may spend this time alone.
We offer a Back to School program where we distribute backpacks and school supplies to hundreds of children.
