Pawsitive Alliance

Get involved! Share your skills, talent and time to help save lives!

Pawsitive Alliance is looking for volunteers to help make a difference for adoptable dogs and cats (like King) in Washington! King was rescued by Yakima Animal Control after they found him starving and locked up with an embedded collar in August 2014. King was one of the lucky pets who attended our Super Pets adoption event on September 5th & 6th and was adopted by a Super Hero the first day!

King is just one of the 4,904 homeless pets who found their forever homes during a Pawsitive Alliance adoption event. These events are made possible by the generosity and involvement of our community. Our largest annual fundraising event, Pawsitive Futures is taking place in March 2015 and volunteers, like you, are needed to make it a success! Volunteers help procure auction items, provide marketing assistance, and support activities before and during the event. Whether you are able to donate an auction item or your time, it’s you we need to continue saving and improving lives in 2015. Join us November 8 th for a Volunteer Meet & Greet to discuss how you can assist at this event and many others. YOU can change the future of deserving pets like King!

Mission Statement

To help end the euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats in Washington by increasing adoptions, supporting spay and neuter programs, and improving pet retention

Description

Founded in 2005, Pawsitive Alliance works to end the homelessness of cats and dogs across the state of Washington by increasing shelter adoptions, supporting spay and neuter programs, and helping to keep pets and people together.

Pawsitive Alliance’s three main programs include increasing adoptions of homeless pets, increasing access to spay and neuter surgeries, and helping to keep pets thriving with their caretakers. Pawsitive Alliance’s biggest strengths are marketing, organizing, fundraising, collaborating and being a catalyst for change for pets in need. We work with approximately 50 partners each year to fulfill our programs.
