MNsure launched in 2013 amidst much excitement - and a little confusion! - and during the first enrollment period, 362,292 Minnesotans enrolled in quality, affordable coverage through the exchange. As of 2015, over 95% of Minnesotans had health coverage thanks to improved access and the important education work of Navigators and outreach volunteers at organizations like Planned Parenthood. We want to ensure that all Minnesotans get the information they need to get covered during the second enrollment period, and that’s where the Obamacare Outreach Team comes in! As the leading women’s health care provider and advocate, Planned Parenthood is uniquely positioned to communicate with women who rely on us for trusted information and health care.

Starting in November, the Obamacare Outreach Team will contact likely uninsured Minnesotans primarily via phonebanking, educating people about new health plans, dispelling myths, connecting individuals with enrollment events, and more. Other tactics may include canvassing and participation in visibility and tabling events. This unique campaign represents an exciting opportunity to connect hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans to new, more affordable health care. Our Obamacare Outreach Team has played an integral role in getting Minnesotans covered, and was recently recognized for their hard work at Planned Parenthood’s annual gala. Join this incredible group! Outreach Team training and orientation will be held regularly for volunteers who are new to MNsure and the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), so we’ll give you all the information you need to be a knowledgeable resource.
