Studies show that Homework Help programs improve how children perform in school and enforce good study habits. If you enjoy working with elementary age students, consider becoming a Homework Help Volunteer. This program will begin in January.
Family Service Association has a need for volunteers at our Highgrove Community Center, 459 Center St., Riverside (near UCR). Volunteers will help with homework in various school subjects, especially English, Math and Social Studies.
Volunteers will need to be Livescanned, however FSA will pay for the live scan. If interested, please contact Kathy Knox at 951-686-1096 or kknox@fsaca.org.

Since 1953, Family Service Association has served communities in Southern California with a variety of human service programs including: Child Development, Child Abuse Prevention, Trauma Informed Counseling, Senior and Community Centers, Senior Housing, and Senior Nutrition. Family Service is a not-for-profit social service organization dedicated to meeting the changing needs of families and communities in Riverside County and San Bernardino County regardless of income, ethnicity, gender or socio-economic status. We envision a day when Inland Empire communities have strong families without poverty, hunger or health disparities.
