Sierra Club uses all legal means to protect the environment including advocacy, public education, conservation outings, protests, witty signs--the whole gamut. But sometimes what we're up against is so bad and illegal we have no choice but to sue.
That's why we need a legal chair. The Utah Chapter is looking for a lawyer (member of the Utah Bar) who will maintain our docket and offer advice. The ideal volunteer wouldn't necessarily argue our cases for us--although that's a possibility--but rather help us keep track of the cases in our docket and interpret court actions for our volunteer board.
