ORGANIZATION: Connecticut Food Bank

  • 4 people are interested

Connecticut Food Bank is in need of 2 men (or women) who can safely load/unload, lift & carry 50 pound bags of produce to meet our Mobile Pantry truck at a designated Watertown location on the first Wednesday of every month (rain, shine or snow) and assist the MP driver from 1:30-3:30. Volunteers will assist the driver with setting up/taking down tables, unloading/loading produce from/to the truck, breaking down cardboard, cleaning up and re-packing the pantry truck.

This is a strenuous but very rewarding opportunity and it does require an ongoing commitment (of once per month every month).

The Mobile Pantry travels to identified communities to deliver fresh produce to those in need.
