Connecticut Food Bank is in need of a volunteer to assist the Connecticut Food Bank Driver with unloading boxes of food from the truck and transporting by hand truck into the lobby at Augustana Homes, 52 Palisade Avenue in Bridgeport on the 3rd Friday of every month. Once the boxes are inside the volunteer would stay for approximately 1 hour to oversee the pick-up of the boxes by residents and to complete any required paperwork related to the distribution. Lifting of 35-40 lb boxes is required.
The truck will arrive at Agustana Homes between 8:30-9:30 (depending on traffic) on the 3rd Friday of every month.
This is an ongoing commitment, not a one time opportunity.
