Hospice Plus Tree of Life Volunteers share hearts and hands to offer compassionate presence. We serve throughout the Houston Metropolitan area including Conroe, Galveston, Sugar Land, Richmond and Rosenberg. Here are a few ways Tree of Life Volunteers are sharing their wisdom and gifts:
Visit a Patient: Compassionate presence - no physical care
Support for a Caregiver: Compassionate presence, sitting with patient while caregiver rests or runs errands
Communication: Graphic artist, newsletter, brochures, posters, Face Book, blog, creating You Tube videos on hospice
Office Assistance: Helping with basic office needs
Tuck-In Calls: Phone calls checking on patients and caregivers
Bereavement: Help with mail outs and check-in calls to bereaved
Pet Therapy: Must be a licensed pet therapy animal
Musician and/or Vocalist: Sharing gifts with patients and at memorial services
Massage Therapy - Licensed: Must be a licensed massage therapist
Activities Assistant: Help nursing home/assisted living facilities with events, games, parties, festivities, outings
Hospice Basics Presenter: Trained to offer hospice information/education to groups
