ORGANIZATION: Homeless Prenatal Program

The intern can expect to develop skills in: Interview and communications skills Non-profit fundraising skills Salesforce, WordPress, Google Analytics & Google For Non-Profits General non-profit knowledge General administration HPP is looking for committed and highly-qualified interns, who will assist with: Communications: Develop content for social media postings Create new content for HPP’s website Assist with website maintenance and configuration, track traffic and benchmarks utilizing Google Analytics Assist with further developing our marketing and PR strategy General Administration: Assist with major fundraisers, including our Annual Luncheon and our Annual Gala Our House Identify organizations doing similar work and research potential partnerships. Support additional team activities as necessary, including but not limited to supporting HPP’s Executive Director, gifts processing in Salesforce and miscellaneous donation drives. Requirements: Communications, journalism, public relations, public policy, and marketing students, particularly those interested in social change and public services, are encouraged to apply. This position requires excellent writing and spoken communication skills, outstanding organizational skills as well as an understanding of how the media works. Qualified applicants must have the ability to work independently and have the experience of organizing events. Internships are unpaid. Internship is full time at 35 hours per week or part time at 16 hours per week. Intern will report to the Communications Associate.

Description

We serve homeless families with a variety of services. Our departments include Prenatal Services, Substance Abuse Services, Case Management, Housing Assistance Program, Community Health Worker Training Program and Policy & Advocacy.

You do not have to be homeless and/or pregnant to receive services. We also assist low income families.
