If you have a passion for teaching a person to fish rather than simply giving them a fish and you have great computer skills then consider becoming a Computer Skills Teacher at the Career and Learning Center at Water Street.
Many of our residents have no experience working with a computer and are in need of a basic computer course. As more and more job opening are listed online, our residents will need basic computer literacy to develop a resume and apply to open job positions. In addition, many of our guests need help learning to use Microsoft Office.
As you teach our guests new skills you will have a front row seat to see them become more empowered and realize their potential!

Description
We serve the homeless and hungry of Lancaster County, PA with the goal to provide comprehensive support to individuals who find themselves in the traumatic crisis of homelessness. We facilitate life change by providing stable shelter, three meals a day and connecting guests with: behavioral health support through Christian counseling, medical and dental care, and career support services.
The vision for each individual is to guide him or her out of the lifestyle that led to a state of homelessness, and that begins with meeting his or her need for food and shelter. With a Christian worldview based on biblical truths, we are changing one life at a time.
