Are you able to proofread a resume and cover letter? Are you able to navigate online job applications? Are you interested in walking alongside our guests as they journey on the path of recovery? Then consider becoming a career tutor in the Career and Learning Center at Water Street!
Our new Career and Learning Center is partnering with CareerLink to offer career seminars for our residents and guests. Outside of the class, guests will be deveoping their own resume and cover letters. We need career tutors to come alongside our guests as they work on these. In addition, you will help our guests as they job search and apply to open positions. As some of our guests have little to no computer training, you may also be helping them learn to use a computer and the internet. Come encourage lasting change as our residents move from homelessness to hope.

Description
We serve the homeless and hungry of Lancaster County, PA with the goal to provide comprehensive support to individuals who find themselves in the traumatic crisis of homelessness. We facilitate life change by providing stable shelter, three meals a day and connecting guests with: behavioral health support through Christian counseling, medical and dental care, and career support services.
The vision for each individual is to guide him or her out of the lifestyle that led to a state of homelessness, and that begins with meeting his or her need for food and shelter. With a Christian worldview based on biblical truths, we are changing one life at a time.
