The Transportation Action Team of the Louisville Sustainability Council is an open, inclusive group consisting of concerned individuals and representatives of businesses, government agencies, and non-profit advocacy groups that share an interest in developing sustainable transportation in the greater Louisville region.Affiliations of our current participants include UPS, Enterprise Holdings, M & M Cartage, Kentucky Clean Fuels Coalition, TARC, Louisville Metro government, CART, Bicycling for Louisville, Sierra Club, Kentucky Environmental Quality Commission, and University of Louisville Center for Environmental Policy and Management, and YOU.
We have begun our work together, under the collective impact model, by reaching consensus on this Vision statement:
We envision a transportation system for greater Louisville that:
• provides efficient, safe, and affordable mobility options for all,
• enables efficient and rapid transport of goods, services, and information and,
• minimizes the social and ecological costs of transportation
