Whether you have lupus, have a loved one with lupus or simply want to help raise awareness, the Lupus Foundation of Southern California wants to hear from you! We need volunteers on the Lupus Mile of the Tri-City Medical Center Carlsbad Marathon on Sunday January 18, 2015.

Meet in front of Miguel’s Restaurant near the corner of Palomar Airport Rd.and Avenida Endinas.(5980 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, CA 92008)You will need to be on site by 6:00 a.m. on Sunday. You will be done by 10:30a.m. so it is really not a very long stint.

The job consists of cheering on the runners and handing out water and energy goo to them as they run by. Be sure to dress in layers, because it will be cold at 6:00 a.m. but will be quite warm by 10:30a.m., bring sunglasses and hats for the sun, and have a good time!

The Lupus Foundation of Southern California greatly appreciates your interest. By being a great cheerleader the runners appreciate your enthusiasm because it keeps them motivated to finish the race. YOU WILL BE A VERY IMPORTANT PERSON ON THAT DAY!
