MDA is seeking volunteers in Winston Salem to assist at MDA lock-up on November 2 , 2016. Attention: Students volunteer service hours are available from the nonprofit.

Volunteers needed in shifts from 8:45 AM to 3:00PM.

Lock-up Volunteer Opportunities - Lock-up day

GREETERS

Assist with taking photos and orientation

MAILROOM:

(Can work in shifts of 3 hours or more - would love to have someone all day 9 AM - 3)

Duties include: Review, write, sort and file pledge slips. Stuff envelopes for mailing.

ORIENTATION 3-5 hours (Can work in shifts of 2- 4 hours or more - would love to have someone all day)

Duties include: Greeting the jailbirds after they have gotten their mugshots. Orientation will review procedures and forms and be available to answer questions for jailbirds.

MUG SHOTS (Photos) 8 hours

(Can work in shifts of 3 - 5 hours or more - would love to have someone all day)

Duties include:
Greeting jailbirds, making them smile and taking their photo in our jail cell then directing them to the next station - telephones & orientation.

HOSPITALITY AREA 4 hours

Duties include assistance with food layout, maintaining food area and keeping food area and trash cleaned up around the jailbird tables.
