Do you love Play-doh, puzzles, and Dr. Seuss?

Drueding Center, a transitional housing program for homeless women with children, is looking for Evening Child Care volunteers to help entertain and supervise children while mothers are attending a Family Care workshop.

You're welcome to share your hobby or interests - whether you are talented at arts & crafts, can lead a sports activity, or are a movie buff.

Please let us know if you can join us on Monday, November 10th, 17th, 24th and December 1st, 8th, and 15th!

Staff will be present, and access to a gated playground.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Drueding Center, as an integral part of the Holy Redeemer Health System, is to "Care Comfort and Heal." The Statement of Purpose developed by the management and staff of Drueding Center states: "We must ensure that all of our families have the skills and resources necessary to live independently and reach their individual measures of success."

Description

The Sisters of the Holy Redeemer established Drueding Center in 1987 to provide transitional housing services for homeless women and their children. To date, more than 550 women with 1200 children have benefited from our services. Drueding Center (DC) provides its residents with a comprehensive schedule of on-site services including: intensive case management, life skills training, assistance in finding permanent and secure housing, full-day licensed Childcare with Head Start services and an After School program, Clinical Counseling programs for children and mothers, and Education and Employment services through our adult and child learning centers, including a Youth Services Program for children ages 8-13 and an on-site health clinic. After Care services are provided for any former residents (graduate families) of Drueding Center up to 7 years post residence at our facility.
