What is Shangri-La?
Shangri-La is a non-profit human services organization serving adults with disabilities and disadvantages so they may recognize and achieve their potential. We aim to create communities where all people are accepted for their abilities and celebrated for their achievements.
What does an Outreach Team Member do?
Members of Shangri-La Outreach Team serve on an on-going and on-call basis to represent Shangri-La at community events and group presentation opportunities. Outreach Team Members will be expected to learn and understand Shangri-La’s various programs and departments as needed to share accurate information about these areas to members of the public.
It is easy to get started. Simply, express interest in this volunteer opportunity. Typically within 48 hours, Shangri-La’s Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to discuss the opportunity and learn more about you.
Minimum age to volunteer: 18 years old.
For the safety of the Shangri-La clients and staff, volunteers are required to complete a meet and greet with Shangri-La’s volunteer coordinator, a Shangri-La volunteer application and criminal history check.
