The Alabama Center for Sustainable Energy (ALCSE) is seeking an outgoing, energetic, and lovable "Fun-Raiser". This individual must have a positive outlook and a passion for creating change in the world through their talents. You will assist in event planning and execution to raise awareness and resources for the ALCSE's mission. The ideal volunteer has experience with event planning and management, fundraising, communications, and/or customer service.

Compensation and Benefits:

• This is a volunteer opportunity for up to as many hours as you would like. We will work with your schedule!
• College credit is available to those eligible.
• Please bring a computer daily.
• Office pranks are encouraged.

Key Results Areas:

• Substantially increase the FUN factor in Huntsville for clean energy!
• Plan and execute all event or other activity logistics including outreach, RSVPs, sponsorships (if needed), venue etc.
• Generate new ideas for events designed to raise awareness for sustainable energy, motivate change and encourage support.
• Collect and manage all relevant event-related data including attendance numbers, sponsorships, newsletter signups, donations and other relevant metrics.
• Conduct database entry and maintenance in Salesforce of event-related data
• Support the Development Director as needed on corporate sponsorship activations for events.

About You:

• Passion for sustainable energy
• Previous experience hosting, supporting, planning, and/or executing public or large scale events
• Strong verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal communication skills
• Independent and self-motivated
• Upbeat with a can-do attitude
• Team player
• An interest in fundraising and business development
