We are looking for VOLUNTEERS to provide nail care/beauty to our registrants or anyone who is willing to come in and spend some time volunteering in our adult day care program.

Mission Statement
Avalon Adult Day Health Care Program provides registrants with medical, nursing and rehabilitative services, designed to enable them to continue to live in the community. A Nursing Home Does NOT have to be your only choice!
Description
Medical model adult day program provides meals, therapeutic recreation, daily living skills assistance, personal health care, social supports, nursing services, podiatry, vision and dental services, a beautician, and medication management for elders ages 60+ (and for ages 18+ if disabled). The program operates Monday thru Saturday, 9:30 am until 2:30 pm and is certified by the New York State Department of Health.
It is designed for elderly and younger adults who:
-have cognitive, physical or psychological conditions requiring supervision including: Alzheimer's disease or other related Dementias, Coronary Artery Disease, Diabetes, Parkinson's Disease, Stroke, Osteoarthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, head trauma, etc.
-require health and/or rehabilitative services;
-require a structured program of emotional and social support and stimulation.
