Volunteers have made such a difference for children’s healthy vision in Wisconsin! Thanks to them, thousands of Wisconsin’s children have healthier vision and clearer days ahead.
With Prevent Blindness Wisconsin, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the early detection of vision problems in children through brief vision screenings at local schools, daycares, and preschools. Volunteers are trained and certified as child vision screeners by Prevent Blindness Wisconsin, learning the signs and symptoms of vision problems in children.
As a coordinator, you serve as the liason between our office and the local Dane County community! You will have the opportunitity to work with the local schools/daycares to schedule vision screenings, connect with the community and student volunteers, and help ensure that each child referred gets the support they need.
For more information about this volunteer opportunity, please contact Volunteer Development Coordinator Kelly Lynch at (414) 765-0505.
