Purpose:
To support the Volunteer Management Department at national headquarters
Key Responsibilities:
General office administrative functions including: supporting volunteer recognition program development, editing and creating materials and templates, drafting correspondence, organizing tools and resources, contacting internal departments, supporting special events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Competencies with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to research and locate information on-line and in printed materials
- Review, write and create documents and templates with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Strong organization ability
Time Commitment: Minimum of 3 hours per day, 2 Days a week
Length of Appointment: As Long as mutually desired

Description
The national headquarters of the American Red Cross provides assistance with shaping and leading the organization in our mission and strategic plan. National Headquarters also assists with technical guidance to the many Red Cross units, such as Chapters, Armed Forces Emergency Services Stations and Blood Services regions. These units are responsible for the direct service to the community including disaster response and preparedness, messaging to Armed Forces military and their families, collecting and delivering blood products, teaching health and safety skills and helping reunite families through our international services.
