Mission Statement
Noise Free America is a 501c3, non-profit organization, funded through individual contributions and grants. Its mission is to educate the public about the hazards of noise, and to provide supporters with the information and tools necessary to take direct action.
Description
To fulfill its mission, Noise Free America will:
-Maintain an extensive web site ( www.NoiseFree.org )
-Answer inquiries from the public
-Answer inquiries from the media
-Provide technical assistance from a noise control engineer ("Ask an Expert")
-Distribute a manual, "How to Fight Noise"
-Partner with neighborhood associations, police departments, governmental agencies, environmental organizations, and private companies
-Distribute radio public service announcements
-Produce and distribute television public service announcements
-Distribute a monthly press release, the "Noisy Dozen award"
-Distribute a bi-monthly newsletter, "Peace and Quiet"
-Maintain an online discussion group
-Train local activists
-Maximize web site traffic
-Speak to public groups
-Produce and distribute videos
-Prepare written materials for mass distribution
