67% of nursing home residents don't receive any visitors. Here at Arvada Care and Rehabilitation, we want to make sure none of our residents fall into that group, so we are looking for more 1:1 volunteers to add to our program. 1:1 volunteers commit to coming in for at least 1 hour/week, and they do a variety of things: visit with bedridden patients, read books/newspapers aloud, play cards with people, and help in other ways around the facility as needed. We will give you guidance on how you can spend your time when you come in, but we are also completely happy to give you the flexibility to decide what you'd like to do. Training is provided. Our staff love having volunteers in the building, and you will find a very welcoming atmosphere each time you come in. Thank you for considering volunteering with our residents!
