The Nonprofit Marketing Intern will enhance the overall quality of our refugee advocacy and care giving services through marketing and outreach. We are looking for someone who is interested in nonprofit marketing, advocacy, and refugees. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong interpersonal communication, writing skills, and a passion for underserved communities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design flyers, pamphlets, and ads for advocacy and homecare services Write blogs and newsletter articles about care giving topics Post marketing materials in areas of interest Research and arrange possible speaking engagements with community centers, senior clubs, and other groups REQUIREMENTS: COMMITMENT: The position requires a minimum 3 month commitment for 8-12 hours per week. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent verbal and written communication in English Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel Detail oriented, organized, and enjoys working with people from all cultural backgrounds Must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups Bilingual in Arabic, Farsi, Burmese, Somali, or Spanish a plus.
