NKF Golf Classic Chairperson
Major Responsibilities / Tasks:
- Assists with committee development.
- Recruits golfers (Target: 144 golfers)
- Sells sponsorships to meet budget.
- With staff, oversees the setting of priorities and objectives for the golf tournament and coordinates the event.
- With staff, manages the event's budget.
- Presides at all golf Tournament Committee meetings.
- With staff, secures event location site and coordinates with site representatives.
- Recruits committee members (Target: 12-20 members).
- Ensures that the tournament requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- Business and community contacts/leverage.
- Leadership skills.
- An experienced golfer.
Training:
- Ongoing at committee meetings.
- Consultation with NKF Staff.
Time Involvement:
- Committee meetings: 2 hours monthly.
- Ongoing activities: 10 hours monthly.
- Just prior to and during event: up to 6 hours weekly and 10 hours the day of the event.

The National Kidney Foundation, Inc. is America's leading voluntary health organization dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease for hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals, millions of patients and their families, and tens of millions of people at risk.

- Reducing the number of American's newly diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and renal failure by providing public education
- Shaping Health Policy
- Fund Raising to help support our local programs
NKF Serving Upstate & Western New York supports kidney disease and transplant patients through research, patient support groups, public and professional educational programs. More than 10,000 area residents are on dialysis and thousands wait for kidney transplants.
