Mission Statement

Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles is a multi-service Agency whose goals are to strengthen and preserve individual, family and community life by providing a wide range of needed human services to people in the community at every stage of the life cycle, especially those who are poor and disadvantaged. We are an extended family of compassionate social services that enriches the community and improves the lives of countless men, women and children of all religions, ethnicity and ages. For over 160 years, JFS has counseled families, fed the hungry, sheltered the homeless and protected the vulnerable. As Los Angeles oldest and most dynamic charitable organization, JFS is a trusted source of care and support, meeting the diverse and changing needs of a diverse and changing city.

Description

We offer a wide range of flexible and meaningful volunteer opportunities across Los Angeles. We need volunteers to help in a variety of ways, including offering social support to isolated older adults, transportation assistance for older adults and adults with disabilities, and help at our meal programs, senior centers, domestic violence shelters, food pantries and more! Our opportunities are meaningful, fun and greatly appreciated. Join our work in improving the lives of countless men, women and children of all religions, ethnicities, and ages...we need you!
