We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help make our garden program the most fun and engaging experience it can be for our students. Volunteers will have flexibility in getting involved with the parts of the program they feel most excited and passionate about - we want you to love it too! Volunteers can participate in developing garden curriculum, teaching garden lessons, maintaining the garden itself, and ultimately instilling a love for nature and growing food in the students of Westwood Charter! We appreciate you and the skills and interests you bring!
Volunteers are welcome to sign up for regular time slots between 8 AM-2 PM Monday-Thursday
School year runs from August 11 th, 2014-June 4 th, 2015

Westwood Charter School is an inclusive, child-centered environment where children feel safe to take risks. It is a community dedicated to educating the whole child. Westwood Charter School, a member of the Los Angeles Unified School District and a California Distinguished School, has been a charter school since July 26, 1993.
Description
Westwood Charter School has a great gardening program with outstanding garden space including lots of planter boxes and an outdoor classroom too! This school year, we are working on developing garden curriculum, teaching garden lessons, maintaining the garden itself, and engaging with students in grades k-3 to help instill a love for nature and growing food!
