We are looking for a volunteer with event planning experience who can take a lead role in our Fall Fundraiser. You will have a committee of volunteer helping you out ... the ideal volunteer will have leadership, event planning and project management experience :). All funds raised will support our programs and services and outreach events to increase awareness of the work we are doing to help animals and pet owners of Leech Lake Reservation and neighboring reservations.

Leech Lake Legacy recognizes that our partnership with the Leech Lake Tribe is an honor and a privilege. Our work together exemplifies the spirit of diversity and teamwork. Mission Statement

Leech Lake Legacy is a non-profit organization that began in May 2011. Vision: We envision a world where every reservation dog and cat is well cared for. Mission: Leech Lake Legacy is a multi-faceted animal welfare organization that empowers residents of Indian reservations to enrich the lives of animals in their community by providing education and resources where needed. Core Belief: Leech Lake Legacy believes that by working together and collaborating with a larger network of animal welfare organizations in Minnesota, we will be able to do more for the animals and the pet owners of Leech Lake Reservation.

Description

Leech Lake Legacy/LLL was formed in May, 2011 in an effort to help the animals at Leech Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota. LLL works collaboratively with animal welfare organizations in Minnesota and the Leech Lake Tribal Police to transfer and find placement for homeless, surrendered, and abandoned animals at Leech Lake Reservation and surrounding areas.
