HALLOWEEN 5K FUN RUN/WALK

The annual Costumes for Kids 5k Fun Run is one of our largest events of the year and requires the most manpower to make it successful. It is, also, the event our volunteers report having the most fun at.

The Fun Run brings in families from around the county, dressed in customs, ready to run, have fun, enjoy music, eat, and win prizes.

We are looking for about 30 volunteers this year to help make this event great. Would you like to be one of them? If so, listed below are all the ways in which you can volunteer.

Please feel free to share this event with friends and family, Its a good time for all involved.

Thank you for your dedication and time. Hope to hear from you soon. Photos from last year's Fun Run.Volunteer Opportunities
  1. Seeking Sponsorships: This opportunity starts immediately. Those interested in this opportunity will be tasked with approaching local businesses, telling them about the event, asking for sponsorship, and providing them with the sponsorship packets. Those who choose to do help us in this manner will meet with Crystal to go over their "elevator pitch" and be provided with further instructions.
  2. Route Markers: This opportunity starts at 6 am on 10/28/2018, the day of the Fun Run. We need about 6 people to mark the route around town before the 5k starts.
  3. Registration: This opportunity starts at 8 am on 10/28/2018, the day of the Fun Run. We need about 4 Volunteers to help with sign-ins and registration.
  4. Street Staff: This opportunity starts at 9 am on 10/28/2018, the day of the Fun Run. We are in need of about 20 Volunteers to man street corners along the 5k route to help participants cross the street safely. This is because the roads will not be shut down for the run.
  5. Photography/Videography: This opportunity begins at 9 am on 10/28/2018, the day of the Fun Run. We need about 2 volunteers to capture video and photo of the event and capture video feedback from participants (who sign a photo release form).
