The Homeless Health Initiative of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia works to help children and families by connecting them with high-quality healthcare services in a compassionate and culturally sensitive manner. HHI has a variety of volunteer opportunities including Operation Choices, Safe Physical Activity & Recreation for Kids (SPARK), and the Women’s Wellness Program. Through Operation Choices HHI works to transform shelter practices to serve healthier food options within a culturally sensitive context. The Women’s Wellness Program provides an hour-long session combining nutrition and fitness. SPARK provides children an opportunity to learn about exercise and nutrition through fun activities. Availabilities for volunteers are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Wednesday afternoon and Friday afternoon.

Description
Repair the World is a national Jewish nonprofit, based in New York City. Founded in 2009, Repair believes service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life. By 2030, Repair will inspire and catalyze one million acts of service towards repairing the world.
