Playworks believes in the power of play by connecting recess to a positive school experience and allowing students to learn through playing. In schools where Playworks is present, there have been many positive outcomes, including a decrease in bullying, a reduction in disciplinary incidents, more classroom participation, and an improvement in the overall school atmosphere. Volunteers will be able to help support school recesses and after-school intramural sports. Playworks works in schools all over the Philadelphia region, and volunteers will be most utilized on weekday mornings and afternoons.
