Created by an Executive Order signed by Mayor Michael A. Nutter, the Philadelphia Food Access Collaborative is seeks to improve access to meals and services for individuals in need. The Collaborative's Meals and More initiative aims to increase access to meals in a safe and dignified setting, increase meal guests' connections to social and health services that will help them to get back on their feet, and improve the health and nutrition of the meals served. By completing training with the Food Access Collaborative, a volunteer can then be connected with partnered meal service providers.
