Help support Back 2 Basics Kids Foundation’s E3 After-school program at Bunche Middle School. The E3 after-school program starts next week and our classroom and gym space is a mess! We need your help to clear the junk out so we can bring the KIDS in!

Our ideal volunteer(s) will help provide the following duties and responsibilities:

1) Assisting with the clean-up of 2 classrooms and a gymnasium space.

2) Help move small items such as: (chairs, small tables, bins, etc.)

3) Provide at least 4 volunteer hours for this project. This volunteer project will take place outside of school hours (after 430pm).

Put your hands to work, the kids will appreciate it.

Mission Statement

The mission of Back 2 Basics Kids Foundation is to provide inner-city youth the opportunity to build character, discover and enhance individual skills and talents, and develop professional goals, through community involvement, health & fitness awareness, teamwork, life skills, and expression

Description

Many of America's inner-city youth are plagued by inactivity, unhealthy dietary habits and violence. Back 2 Basics Kids Foundation, Inc. provides an antidote for the sedimentary lifestyle many American children have adopted and provides a healthy alternative to street loitering and negative behavior. Our organization is committed to positively impacting our youth's perspective and exposure when it comes to their emotional, mental, social, and physical well being.

We believe the earlier a child is introduced to athletics, the more he or she will benefit in their level of educational and physical advancement. The overall goal of Back 2 Basics Kids Foundation, Inc. is to increase self esteem, develop athletic and sportsmanship ability, and cultivate positive life skills for at-risk children ages 6 to 18. Our primary objective for the 2010-11 year is to reach 1,500 inner-city youth utilizing our athletic clinics, special events, and developmental programs.
