Social Media Analysts Needed at the American Red Cross!
Purpose:
Increase situational awareness for American Red Cross Disaster workers by distributing a daily social media brief that contains social media conversations regarding our eight internal disaster process.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating a daily social media brief, using Radian6 technology and instructions. This brief will be distributed to all of the American Red Cross Disaster Services staff.
Qualifications:
- Interest in Disaster Services
- Interest in Social Media Conversations
- Ability to learn software platform Radian6
- Ability to review 800 tweets per day
- Ability to curate, categorize and edit those tweets
- Ability to format text
- Conduct analysis on top trends and key indicators
- Access to an internet enabled computer
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 hour per day and can be done from any location. Please note, brief must be complete by 8am each day.

Description
The national headquarters of the American Red Cross provides assistance with shaping and leading the organization in our mission and strategic plan. National Headquarters also assists with technical guidance to the many Red Cross units, such as Chapters, Armed Forces Emergency Services Stations and Blood Services regions. These units are responsible for the direct service to the community including disaster response and preparedness, messaging to Armed Forces military and their families, collecting and delivering blood products, teaching health and safety skills and helping reunite families through our international services.
