The Business Mentor teaches and advises housing services Case Managers to improve their knowledge of employment needs, concerns and best practices so they can more effectively counsel clients who must find and sustain employment to maintain their home. Duties include:

  • Meet individually with Case Manager to help them better understand:

Employment needs and best practices.

How business needs vary from one industry to another.

What hiring managers are looking for in job candidates.

What education, training and skills are desirable within specific industries.

Business sector and hiring trends.

  • Advise Case Manager on employer-employee relations.
  • Help Case Manager trouble-shoot the employment questions and concerns of their clients.

One in-person mentoring session per month plus up to 3 hours monthly of phone/email support.
