The Arts Council for Monterey County is seeking a Grant Writing assistant to expand access and opportunity for underserved Monterey County residents.Grants are needed to provide youth and families of all ages and backgrounds the benefits of high quality Art programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and draft grants.
Qualifications:
- B.A. required
- Research skills
- Writing skills
- Knowledge of grants
Time Required:
- 1 year preffered
- 4 hours per week preffered
- Any time of week/day

Our Mission is to improve the quality of life for everyone through the arts.
Description
We support different arts organizations in the county, provide grant money for arts education projects, and sponsor teaching artist to go into schools with little or no arts programs and teach. We have a yearly calendar that exhibits local artists work and have receptions for those who choose to display more of their work in our art gallery. We honor arts supporters/philanthropists,etc. at our Champions of the Arts event every January, which is our biggest fundraiser for the year.We believe that the arts is the answer and strive to provide as many answers to the community as possible.
