Commitment: Minimum of 10hrs/week, 2 days/week (Flexibility to work remotely)
Project Length: On going, however a minimum commitment of 6months is requested.
JOB DESCRIPTION : The Social Media Coordinator will execute a comprehensive social media strategy. Primary responsibilities will involve planning and implementing outreach tactics through social networking. This is a great opportunity for a college student looking to enter the fast growing field of Social Media Marketing, or nonprofit management.
POSITION Enhance our presence online. Optimize event attendance by posting weekly Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and YouTube updates. Website updates and formatting. Search Engine Optimization.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES Refine online researching skills on a variety of environmental subjects Improve time management, project management and organizational skills Gain experience in updating content on a variety of social media applications including HootSuite, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. Advance ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format Gain networking skills and effective methods of building and maintaining relationships

Description
ECOMB is a Florida 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit volunteer-based corporation founded in 1994 in the City of Miami Beach. It's commitment is supported by the development and implementation of various programs in an effort to achieve the following objectives: To reduce the amount of litter on county beaches, waterways, islands and wetlands; To increase county residential and business recycling rates; To preserve and restore our sensitive ecosystems, such as the near shore coral reefs, beach dunes, islands, mangroves, and Biscayne Bay waters. To encourage community members to adopt new lifestyle practices that are more environmentally sustainable.
