ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Central Coast Region

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To receive calls from Emergency Response agencies requesting Red Cross assistance and dispatch the Disaster Action Team member to respond.

OPEN TIME DAYS
Availability to serve on-call on a rotating schedule for one week at a time.

REQUIRED TRAINING

Orientation to the American Red Cross (1.5 hours)

Disaster Services: An Overview (1.5 hours)

Shelter Operations & Basic Food Safety (online classes)

Disaster Action Team Workshop (3 hours)

CAS 2.0 Online Training (3 classes)

On the job training as necessary.
